attic cottages by PETER BRAITHWAITE STUDIO
Attic Cottages are a series of sculptural cabins nestled within the rugged terrain of Nova Scotia, designed by Peter Braithwaite Studio. The sharply angular forms rise from the forest floor with tall A-frame silhouettes, creating a bold architectural rhythm across the landscape.
Each cottage features a minimal, timber-lined interior flooded with natural light, framed by exposed structural bays and generous glazing. The cranked floor plan offers a contrast between open public areas and tucked-away private spaces, while elevated lofts provide serene views of the natural surroundings.
This set of renderings explores the moody, immersive character of the cottages — from foggy forest exteriors to soft interior atmospheres — emphasizing the quiet presence of the architecture within the landscape.
