martinique beach house by PETER BRAITHWAITE STUDIO
Martinique Beach House sits independently along the rugged Nova Scotia coastline, just minutes from some of the region’s longest surf beaches. Designed with aging in place and deep sensitivity to the landscape, the home rises above the tree canopy to capture light and open views of the ocean.
This 3D visualization highlights the home’s three-level structure, with its living spaces unfolding vertically—from utility areas on the ground floor to gathering spaces with sweeping ocean views at the top. Dark timber cladding, stilted foundations, and minimal disruption to surrounding trees reflect a strong respect for the site and its natural elements.
The renderings focus on light, material, and mood—capturing not just the form, but the calm, balanced rhythm of a house built to embrace time and change.
